Remodeling after 10 years of neglect 30 year old swimming pool in original state. Here you can see where the concrete is separating from the deck. The old filter system being removed to make way for the new. Remaining water is removed with a high volume pump. Now that the water is drained work can begin on removing the old concrete decking. Here the concrete deck had been broken up and removed with the old liner and new coping installed. Completed coping in the stair area. Complete brand new filter with new valves. Each valve is marked for the home owner. Here we can see the home owner has opted for a salt system for convent water sanitation. No more lugging jugs of liquid chlorine or tablets to the pool each week. Wall foam installation begins, in this case starting with the steps. The wall foam is instrumental in protecting the new liner from damage from corrosion on the steel pool wall. The new liner is fitted into place. The liner has been completely connected to the new coping and a high volume commercial vacuum pump is put into place to prevent air bubbles and wrinkles from forming when the pool is filled. The pool is filling and the faceplates for the skimmer and water returns are installed. Once completely filled the concrete deck can be poured and the water can be filtered and balanced. The pool deck is complete and the circulation system is in operation. The pool water has been balanced by the homeowner. Completed pool viewed from the shallow end with safety rope in place Pool is complete and ready for years of enjoyment!!
