For over 30 years and 10,000 pools, Concord Pools has learned what works and what doesn't in swimming pool construction in the northeast.
The most important component of any inground swimming pool is the pool wall. The durability and resistance to the harsh Northeast climate will determine whether your swimming pool purchase is the best thing you've invested in or the worst.
Okay, we know what you're thinking...how did we determine what the absolute best material is to use in pool construction? Quite simple. From 1972 to the mid 80's, Concord Pools was one of the largest steel pool builders in the country, receiving over 100 national awards.
When steel pool manufacturing changed from plate steel to rolled steel for use in pool construction, the game changed.
- Panels that used to weigh 150 lbs now weigh 60 lbs
- Steel that was coated with copper now has none
- Galvanization that was baked on at extremely high temperatures is now cold galvanized (spray paint), available at any hardware store
DO NOT LET ANYONE TRY TO CONVINCE YOU THAT THE ROLLED, COLD GALVANIZED STEEL USED IN SWIMMING POOL CONSTRUCTION TODAY IS A FRACTION OF QUALITY OR MAKE UP THAT IT WAS PRIOR TO THE MID 80'S. IT JUST ISN'T TRUE!
So what did we do? In the best interest of our customers, we chose to recreate the pool as we knew it then. We sought out the answer to our questions with the cooperation of companies such as General Electric Plastics, DOW Industries, Loudon Plastics, and Pacific Pools, as well as the Plastics Counsel of America to develop and patent the most technologically advanced pool system in America.
Our swimming pool walls made out of polycarbonate and graphex are pound for pound several times the strength of steel, cannot rust, oxidize or corrode in any way.
Our panels carry a lifetime warranty backed by the most established and highly respected swimming pool company in the Capital District, along with the largest vinyl liner swimming pool manufacturer in America located in Latham, NY. The peace of mind that this offers for your investment is unequaled. |
