Mike Giovanone, Owner of Concord Pools, Recipient of Masters of Design Award

Concord Pools, LTD. Giovanone was recently awarded the Master of Design as a Pacific Pools Showcase Builder. The Master of Design is
the most prestigious award in the pool industry, presented for excellence in custom design and innovation by the editors and
managers of the Los Angeles-based magazine Pool & Spa News, the industry’s leading publication. Pacific Pools (a division of Latham
Plastics, Inc.) is North America’s largest manufacturer of vinyl-liner pools, and Concord Pools is the largest dealer of Pacific
Pools in the nation.
Mike Giovanone, a resident of Saratoga Springs, has been on the cutting edge of pool design for over 36 years and is recognized as an
innovative force in the industry. Giovanone is the most decorated pool designer in upstate New York, having been inducted into the
Aqua Magazine Swimming Pool Hall of Fame and named a Top 50 Swimming Pool Retailer nationwide, among many other bestowals.
 Of the thousands of designers to participate worldwide, Giovanone was one of only four in North America and two in the U.S. to receive the Master of Design award and is the only designer in New York State ever to have been so honored.
Concord Pools has locations in Latham, Saratoga, Clifton Park, and Guilderland. According to Giovanone, “We have built over 11,000 pools in New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts. We employ approximately 150 local people, and Pacific employs over 1,000.”
